Educational Philosophy

At Kozoji Kids Garden, we strive to be an ideal Kindergarten as created by Frobel, an early childhood educator. In order to develop the individuality of each child, the teachers approach the children thinking, "what is needed for this child now?," create an environment that suits the child and promote daily childcare. In Kozoji, an environment with abundant nature, the children are able to grow their “mind” and “body” with beautiful greenery throughout the changing seasons. Our children will grow to be calm and compassionate. In the 21st century, Japanese children are thinking about the Earth and the universe sooner and are able to go beyond thinking about being only a Japanese person and being someone on Earth. "What is a true global minded person?" The teachers at our school always think about it and teach the children with it in mind. The staff is a mix of different nationalities such as Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom and as well as Japanese. The children can experience various ways of thinking and culture. We are teaching "English," which is considered a common language around the world, and developing global minded people who can take pride in their own country and accept the ideas of others.
