About
Opened in 2001, many children in the Kasugai Area, Nagoya, Komaki, Seto, Owariasahi, Tajimi, Toki and Kani commute to our school. The first generation of students are already in university or working and still enjoy English and continue to show improvements in their language skills. The joyful voices of the children can always be heard from the playground to the classrooms. Bilingual and native teachers speak English to the children six hours a day. Through this method, the children will begin to speak English as if they were learning their native language of Japanese. From 3 years old (Blue class), the children will begin to learn the Alphabet and how to pronounce each letter. After moving to the 4 - 5 years old class (Yellow class), the students will be separated into smaller groups and begin to learn how to write, read and listen using English. The children also start naturally speaking English to the native teachers and to their friends without realizing it. In early childhood education, we nurture the children to be able to think for themselves, convey their thoughts through words and be able to understand the thoughts and opinions of their friends. We believe that it is important to have many different experiences when raising a child and for them to be able to express themselves in words. Cooking with vegetables grown in our personal gardens, taking field trips using public transportation are just a couple of the many exciting experiences in store for the children. Blue and Yellow classes have physical education classes twice a month and music classes taught by a specialized teacher four times a month. School times are from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. but we offer morning care starting around 8:10 A.M. for children of working mothers. We also have after care for the students until 6 P.M. Children can come to school starting around 8:40 A.M. Summer, winter and spring breaks are approximately 2 weeks long. We still offer child care in July and August. After graduating from Kid’s Garden Preschool, we offer English conversation classes at our school if you and your child would like to continue studying English. Through these classes you child will be able to take Eiken level 3 or higher by their 4th year of elementary school. Also, in our general English conversation classes, students will be able to take up to Eiken level 4 or higher by their 6th year of elementary school before entering junior high school. Your children will learn what we call “Living English” taught in the classes using our unique methods.
